WICCA PHASE SPRINGS ETERNAL FARM

Ex-Tigers Jaw member Adam McIlwee aka Wicca Phase Springs Eternal has just dropped new track 'Farm', the third from his upcoming self-titled album. Having already heard the earthy rustic tones on the acoustic track 'It's Getting Dark', and the gothic synth-pop of 'Moving Without Movement', the new album is shaping up to be a compelling myriad of sounds. New track 'Farm' pushes the boundaries further, dropping hard into driving drums, arpeggiated synths combining to creating a haunted almost hip-hop sounding pop track. Discussing the track Mcllwee states, "There's an intersection between the natural world (a farm) and some sort of higher dimensional plane that overlays the natural world. That's where this album exists, and this song is a descriptor of that intersection. There's secrets ("mysterious lessons"), doppelgangers, and an overlying tension that suggests that not everything is as it appears." - A fitting description for the liminal space that his music exists in; in the dark corners of genres where the edges meet and meld. The record features contributions from Darcy Baylis, Uniform's Ben Greenberg and  Zola Jesus and is set for release on June 2nd on Run For Cover Records. -Toby Evans-Jesra
